Oil, and nothing padding it
No water, no filler oils, no synthetic preservatives — because a waterless blend doesn't need them. Three carrier oils and the scent, that's the whole ingredient list.

Our story
Lush Luminous started the way a lot of small beauty lines do: with a bottle of castor oil, a stubborn problem, and the realisation that the thing on the shelf was almost right but not quite. Castor oil does remarkable things for hair and skin — and on its own, it's thick, slow and not much fun to wear.
So the work became the blending. How much jojoba before a scalp oil stops feeling like a treatment and starts feeling like something you'd reach for on a Tuesday. How little castor oil a lip roller needs to still cushion and shine. Four rituals came out of that, each one cut to a different ratio.
Everything is still made the same way it was at the start: blended, poured and capped by hand, in small batches. The labels are designed, printed and cut here too, one sheet at a time.
You'll find us at pop-ups around South Florida with the whole lineup out on the table. Come smell them — it's still the best way to choose.

What we hold to
No water, no filler oils, no synthetic preservatives — because a waterless blend doesn't need them. Three carrier oils and the scent, that's the whole ingredient list.
We talk about conditioning, softening, shine and sealing moisture, because that's what oils do. We renamed a whole product line rather than imply it grows hair.
Pouring little and often means what reaches you was bottled recently. It's slower and it costs us more per bottle. It's also the entire point.
Questions, returns, "which one for fine hair?" — it's the same person who poured the bottle answering. Usually within a day.
